Strawberries & Fresh Whipped Cream
Humor me as I’m on the hunt for creative ways to entertain my household of 8 during quarantine! We have made homemade whipped cream almost everyday for the last week for dessert. My seven-year old son Percy has become enchanted with cooking during Corona so we decided to host our own cooking show. My thirteen-year old daughter Elise filmed and edited our one and only go at it! I was in my pink “Paris” PJ bottoms and Finn, the four-year old provided comedic relief. You may catch him picking his nose! Oh my! As I have said many times, all my recipes are easy and kid-friendly. If you give our first “ROUGH” go at a family-friendly, no-frills family cooking show a thumbs up in the comments, we will come back with more!! I’m crossing my fingers because it was actually a lot of fun!
Hope you have a fun and safe Memorial Day!
Strawberries and Fresh Whipped Cream
A fresh, summery treat
Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy organic cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 qt Strawberries
Instructions
-
Chill your bowl and whisks in freezer for 10 minutes before if it's a hot summer day.
-
Whip cream, vanilla, and sugar together at medium speed for 5-10 minutes. It should be light and airy like a cumulus cloud. Careful you don't whip to fast or long or it will start to turn lumpy like butter.
-
Serve with fresh strawberries
