The Day After

My God,

       You broke open the world for me that first Easter morning.

Nothing will ever be the same again.

Your Love defies all.

You proved that so beautifully when you defeated Death, sent your bevy of angels, and breathed life again into your Son.

When the Veil was torn in two, You revealed there was no boundary to Your love.

No darkness, no trial, no loss, no grave hurt that Your love could not enter in and redeem.

How do I now live knowing this Truth?

  The Truth that I am already saved for no other reason than because You love me.

       In the weeks following the shock-and-awe miracle of Easter, the Disciples had to make a choice:

Return to their regular lives or allow the Resurrection to dramatically reshape their hearts.

       In the depths of my being, I want to be changed.

I want to live my life in such a way that You know-–that I know-–What You have done for me.
